CHURCH’S VINTAGE BROGUES – BLACK - UK 7.5 – DIPLOMAT – EXCELLENT CONDITION
A super pair of vintage Custom Grade cap-toe full-brogue oxford shoes in beautiful black calf leather from Church’s – never out-of-place. The shoes are in excellent used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). Thgis pair have been professionally fitted with brand new ‘Topy’ non-slip rubber over-soles and are unworn since.
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The width fitting is ‘G’ – which is the ‘wider-than-standard’ width fitting.
The style is ‘Diplomat’ – a classic Church’s design – never out-of-place; this pair were formed on the popular 73 Last. This classic design is still part of Church’s range today and they retail at around the £730 mark.
The shoes feature leather soles (with brand new ‘Topy’ non-slip rubber over-soles), calf leather uppers, lightweight leather / linen linings and all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
