CHURCH’S VINTAGE BROGUES – BROWN / TAN – GRAFTON – UK 8 – SUPERB CONDITION
A gorgeous pair of vintage Custom Grade full-brogue derby shoes in brown / tan calf leather from Church’s. This is their iconic ‘Grafton’ design – never out-of-place and a classic Church’s design. The shoes are in superb used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos) – in fact, these shoe are barely worn at all – I would estimate on one or two occasions – ever !! Top quality leather in this colourway always develops a beautiful patina over time – and the patina on this pair is particularly special I think.
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The style is ‘Grafton’ – traditional elegance; a real classic and a ‘must have’ for any gentleman’s wardrobe. This pair were built on the popular 73 Last.
The width fitting is ‘F’ - which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature leather soles, weather-resistant storm welts, calf leather uppers and full leather linings - plus all the hand-built quality that one expects from this top English shoemaker.
