CHURCH’S VINTAGE LAZYMAN LOAFERS – BROWN – UK 9 – BRUMMEL – WORN ONCE
A super (and rare) pair of vintage Custom Grade lazyman loafers in beautiful walnut bookbinder leather from Church’s. Perfect for dressing-up or dressing-down. They are in superb used condition, overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos) – in fact, I would estimate that the shoes have been worn on just one occasion – ever !! The shoes are still in their original box, but the lid is missing. The ‘Brummel’ design is not one that you will see very often at all – so, you will be most unlikely to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you - always a nice feeling, I think.
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
Please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The style is ‘Brummell VI’ – a beautifully proportioned loafer and a rare Church’s design. They were built on the 84 Last
Width fitting is ‘F’ – which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature calf leather uppers, leather soles, lightweight leather / linen linings and offer the usual Church’s build quality.
