CHURCH'S VINTAGE MONK STRAP – BROWN / TAN SUEDE - UK 7 – GRANTHAM – WORN ONCE
A super (and very rare) pair of vintage single monk strap shoes in beautiful tan Maraca suede leather from Church’s – perfect for dressing-up or dressing-down. They are in superb used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). In fact, these shoes are very little worn at all – I would estimate on just the one occasion – ever !! The shoes are in their original box. This design is very rare to find - so, you will be extremely unlikely to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a nice feeling, I think.
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The style is ‘Grantham’ – a beautifully proportioned single monk design - this pair were built on the popular 73 Last and feature the lightweight and very comfortable 'Rambler' rubber soles – gorgeous.
The width fitting is ‘F’ - which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature lightweight 'Rambler' rubber soles, Maraca suede leather uppers and full leather linings – plus all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
