CHURCH’S MONK STRAP – BROWN – UK 6.5 – WESTBURY – EXCELLENT CONDITION

A very fine pair of Custom Grade single monk strap shoes in beautiful brown bookbinder leather from Church’s – perfect for dressing-up or dressing-down. They are in excellent used condition, overall -  notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there – mainly in the form of some surface ‘grazing’(?)-type marks on the outer face of the left shoe (see photos). These shoes were fitted with rubber oversoles when they were new but they have been removed to reveal the original leather soles beneath (see photos).

The style is ‘Westbury’ – Church’s best-known monk strap design; this pair were built on the popular 73 Last and feature gold-coloured buckles.

The width fitting is ‘F’ -  which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.

The shoes feature leather soles, bookbinder leather uppers and full leather linings – plus all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
