CHURCH’S VINTAGE BROGUES – BROWN - UK 10 – CANTERBURY - SUPERB CONDITION
A super (and very rare) vintage pair of Custom Grade full-brogue oxford shoes in beautiful brown calf leather from Church’s. They are in superb used condition overall - notwithstanding a little creasing to the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos).
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The width fitting is ‘F’ - which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The style is ‘Canterbury’ – a very elegant, five-eyelet oxford design. This is a very rare design to find - so, you will be very unlucky to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a nice feeling, I think. This pair were built on the 84 Last.
The shoes feature leather soles, calf leather uppers and full leather linings – plus all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
