JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE DERBY – BLACK – UK 9.5 – BROMPTON - EXCELLENT CONDITION
A very fine pair of Joseph Cheaney four-eyelet apron-front derby shoes in beautiful black calf leather. They are in excellent used condition, overall - notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). This pair are in their original box complete with a set of ‘Cheaney’ dust bags.
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaneys in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The style is ‘Brompton’ – an elegant and traditional four-eyelet design with a square toe-line.
The width fitting is ‘F’ - which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature calf leather uppers, full leather linings and leather soles.
Wonderful quality shoes from a traditional English shoemaker.
