JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE DERBY – BROWN / TAN – UK 7 – LATHAM – EXCELLENT CONDITION
A super, vintage pair of Joseph Cheaney four-eyelet plain-front derby shoes in brown / tan grained calf leather – perfect town-and-country footwear. They are in excellent used condition overall - notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos).
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The style is ‘Latham’ – a beautifully-proportioned four-eyelet derby - featuring weather-resistant ‘storm’ welts.
The width fitting is ‘F’ - which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature leather soles, weather-resistant storm welts, grained calf leather uppers and full leather linings.
Wonderful quality shoes from a traditional English shoemaker.
