CHURCH’S VINTAGE BROGUES – BROWN / BURGUNDY – BROOKLAND – UK 11 – EXCELLENT CONDITION
A very fine, vintage pair of full-brogue derby shoes in beautiful burgundy calf leather from Church’s – could be easily dressed-up or dressed-down. This is their iconic ‘Brookland’ and they are in excellent used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). This pair have been professionally fitted with non-slip rubber over-soles at some time.
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The style is ‘Brookland’ – traditional elegance; a real classic and a ‘must have’ for any gentleman’s wardrobe. This pair were formed on the wonderful 100 Last.
The width fitting is ‘F’- which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature leather soles (with non-slip rubber over-soles), weather-resistant storm welts, calf leather uppers and full leather linings - plus all the hand-built quality that one expects from this top English shoemaker.
