CROCKETT & JONES BROGUES – BROWN / TAN - UK 8.5 (WIDE) – GREENWICH - EXCELLENT CONDITION
A very fine pair of full-brogue derby shoes in beautiful brown / tan calf leather from C&J. This pair were made for, and retailed by, ‘Gordon Scott, London’. They are in excellent used condition, overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). The shoes were fitted with over-soles when new, but these have been removed to reveal the original leather surface; they have also been professionally fitted with quarter-rubber leather heel pieces and are unworn since then.
The width fitting is ‘G’ - which is the ‘wide’ width fitting.
The style is ‘Greenwich’ – traditional, understated elegance - and never out of place.
The shoes feature leather soles, weather-resistant storm welts, calf leather uppers and full leather linings – plus all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker – super.
