JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE DERBY – BROWN / TAN CAMEL LEATHER - UK 12 – UNWORN CONDITION
A super (and very rare) pair of vintage Joseph Cheaney plain-front derby shoes in beautiful brown / tan ‘Ajmal Camel’ leather – easily dressed-up or dressed-down. They are in superb condition and I have listed them as ‘used’ because they may have been tried-on, but I don’t actually think that they have been.
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The width fitting is ‘EE’ - which is the ‘standard’ width fitting (so, equivalent to a modern-day ‘F’ fitting)
The shoes feature leather soles, Ajmal Camel leather uppers (sourced from specialist tanners ‘Charles Tanneries’ of Nottingham), weather-resistant storm welts and lightweight leather / linen linings.
Top quality from this traditional English shoemaker.
