CHURCH’S VINTAGE DERBY – BLACK – UK 9 – PERTH – EXCELLENT CONDITION
A very fine (and rare) vintage pair of Church’s three-eyelet plain front derby shoes in beautiful black calf leather. They are in excellent used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). This is a very rare design to find - so, you will be very unlikely to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a nice feeling in my opinion. The shoes have been professionally fitted with non-slip rubber over-soles and are unworn since.
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The style is ‘Perth’ – a very elegant derby and a very rare design to find – so, you will be unfortunate to meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you. The design features some lovely double- and single-stitching work.
The width fitting is ‘F’ - which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature close-channelled leather soles (with brand new non-slip rubber over-soles), calf leather uppers, lightweight leather / linen linings and display all the quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
