CHURCH’S VINTAGE DERBY – BROWN / TAN FIGHTING SEAL – UK 8 – SUPERB CONDITION
A super (and very rare) pair of vintage, three-eyelet, plain front derby shoes in fabulous brown / tan ‘Fighting Seal’ hide from Church’s. They are in superb used condition overall - notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). This is an extremely rare pair of shoes to see – so, you will be most unlikely to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you - always a nice feeling, I think.
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The width fitting is ‘E’ - which is the ‘narrower-than-standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature ‘Fighting Seal’ hide uppers, full leather linings, leather soles and all the hand-built quality one would expect from Church’s.
Wonderful quality shoes from a traditional English shoemaker.
