CHURCH’S VINTAGE DERBY – BROWN / TAN – UK 7 – VERY GOOD CONDITION
A fine (and very rare) vintage pair of Church’s three-eyelet plain-front derby shoes in beautiful brown / tan calf leather. They are in very good used condition, overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there – mainly at the toes and heels (see photos). This pair have been professionally fitted with brand new ‘Vibram’ non-slip rubber over-soles and are unworn since then.
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The width fitting is ‘F’ – which is the ‘standard’ width fitting. The shoes are off Church’s 54 Last.
The shoes feature leather soles (with brand new ‘Vibram’ non-slip rubber over-soles), calf leather uppers, lightweight leather / linen linings and all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
