CHURCH’S VINTAGE MONK STRAP – BLACK – UK 8.5 - CROFT - EXCELLENT CONDITION
A super (and very rare) pair of Custom Grade quarter-brogue monk-strap shoes in beautiful black calf leather from Church’s. They are in excellent used condition, overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). This is a very rare design to find so you will be highly unlikely to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a nice feeling, I think.
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The style is ‘Croft’ – beautifully proportioned and featuring some delicate punched detailing on the strap and on the rear quarters near the footholes.
The shoes feature calf leather uppers, leather soles, full leather linings and offer the usual Church’s build quality.
The width fitting is ‘G’ – which is the ‘wider-than-standard’ width fitting and the shoes were built on the 84 Last.
