JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE BROGUES – BROWN – UK 7 – HOGAN - EXCELLENT CONDITION
A very fine, vintage pair of cap-toe quarter-brogue oxford shoes in beautiful brown burnished calf leather from Joseph Cheaney – never out-of-place. They are in excellent used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos).
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaneys in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The width fitting is ‘F’ - which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The style is ‘Hogan’ – a nicely proportioned quarter-brogue oxford featuring a chiselled toe-line.
The shoes feature leather soles, burnished calf leather uppers, full leather linings and all the hand-built quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
