CROCKETT & JONES FULL-SADDLE TASSEL LOAFERS – BLACK – UK 10 –EXCELLENT CONDITION
A super (and very rare) pair of gentlemen’s quarter-brogue, full-saddle tassel loafers in beautiful black calf leather from C&J. This pair were made for, and retailed by, New & Lingwood, London. They are built to C&J’s Hand Grade specifications and feature close-channelled leather soles. They are in excellent used condition, overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps, the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). This is a very rare design to find and you will be very unlikely to meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a nice feeling I think.
But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The width fitting is ‘EX’ - which is a ‘slightly-wider-than-standard’ width fitting. A beautifully proportioned loafer, built on the 72EX Last.
The shoes feature close-channelled leather soles, calf leather uppers and full leather linings – plus all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
