JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE APRON-FRONT DERBY – BROWN – UK 8 – EXCELLENT CONDITION
A very fine (and rare) vintage pair of two-eyelet apron-front derby shoes in beautiful dark brown calf leather from Joseph Cheaney – perefect town-and-country footwear. They are in excellent used condition overall - notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there – mainly at the toes (see photos).
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The width fitting is ‘F’ - which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature leather soles, calf leather uppers, full leather linings and all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
(Shoe trees not included)
