CHURCH’S OXFORD – JIL SANDER - BLACK - UK 7.5 – EXCELLENT CONDITION
A super (and very rare) pair of five-eyelet, cap-toe oxford shoes in a combination of smooth and perforated black calf leather from Church’s – easily dressed-up or dressed-down. This pair were designed by, made for and retailed by, ‘JIL SANDER’ (a German design house). They are a particularly elegant shape, I think, and feature some lovely stitching work around the uppers. This is a very rare design to find - so, you will be very unlikely to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a nice feeling in my opinion. They are in excellent used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). The shoes are in their original box, complete with a set of ‘JIL SANDER’ dust bags.
The width fitting is ‘F’ – which is the ‘standard’ width fitting. These were built on a special ‘Sander’ last – the 9746 – and are very elegant.
The shoes feature leather soles, calf leather uppers, lightweight leather / linen linings and all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
