JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE BROGUES – BROWN / TAN - UK 8.5 – EXCELLENT CONDITION
A very fine, vintage pair of Joseph Cheaney five-eyelet full-brogue derby shoes in beautiful light brown / tan grained calf leather. These are from Cheaney’s ‘Super Hampton’ range. They are in excellent used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there – mainly near the toes (see photos).
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The width fitting is ‘EE’ – which is a ‘standard’ width fitting (equivalent to a modern-day ‘F’).
The shoes feature Goodyear welted leather soles, grained calf leather uppers, lightweight leather / linen linings and all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
