JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE DERBY – BROWN - UK 9.5 – LANGPORT – SUPERB CONDITION
A super pair of vintage Joseph Cheaney three-eyelet, plain-front derby shoes in beautiful brown grained calf leather – perfect town-and-country footwear. They are in superb used condition, overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos).
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The width fitting is ‘F’ - which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The style is ‘Langport’ – a traditional town-and-country derby.
The shoes feature leather soles, grained calf leather uppers, and lightweight leather / linen linings.
