JOHN LOBB DERBY – SPRING GREEN SUEDE – UK 6.5 – SUPERB CONDITION
A super (and very rare) pair of elegant, two-eyelet derby shoe in fabulous ‘Spring green’ suede leather from John Lobb. This pair were made for, and retailed by, ‘Paul Smith’, London. They are in superb used condition, showing all the signs of careful wearing – notwithstanding the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). The shoes come complete with their original Paul Smith / John Lobb dust bags and matching Lobb shoe trees.
Please note - the uppers are in terrific condition in real life, but suede shoes are very difficult for an amateur to photograph properly - without them looking a bit scruffy - because of the light and the nap of the material.
The width fitting is ‘E’ – which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The style is ‘Willoughby’ – a beautifully proportioned and very elegant derby shoe. Built on Lobb’s 8000 Last.
The shoes feature close-channelled leather soles, suede leather uppers and full leather linings (in tan calf) – plus all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker – super.
