CHURCH’S VINTAGE BROGUES – BLACK – UK 9.5 - HICKSTEAD – EXCELLENT CONDITION
A super, vintage pair of Church’s Custom Grade full-brogue oxford shoes in beautiful black bookbinder leather – never out-of-place. A lovely example of a Church’s classic. They are in excellent used condition overall - notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos).
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The style is ‘Hickstead’ – a classic full-brogue oxford – never out-of-place. This pair were built on the 84 Last.
The width fitting is ‘F’ – which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature leather soles, bookbinder leather uppers, lightweight leather / linen linings and all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
