JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE BROGUES – BROWN / TAN - UK 8 – LIMBER – EXCELLENT CONDITION
A very fine pair of vintage, full-brogue derby shoes in ‘Highland Steer’ leather from Joseph Cheaney – perfect town-and-country footwear. They are in excellent used condition, overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos).
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The style is ‘Limber’ – a traditional and beautifully proportioned full-brogue town-and-country derby.
The width fitting is ‘EE’ - which is the ‘standard’ width fitting (so, equivalent to a modern-day ‘F’ fitting)
The shoes feature grained Highland Steer leather uppers, lightweight leather / linen linings and leather soles.
Wonderful quality shoes from a traditional English shoemaker.
