JOSEPH CHEANEY VELDTSCHOEN DERBY – BROWN / TAN - UK 6.5 – NEATH – WORN ONCE
A super, vintage pair of Joseph Cheaney town-and-country derby ‘tramping’ shoes in brown / tan calf leather. They are in superb condition – notwithstanding the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). In fact, these shoes are barely worn at all – I would estimate on just the one occasion – ever !! The shoes feature the weather resistant veldtschoen construction and bellows tongues – a very handy package in damp conditions. They are in their original box.
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The width fitting is ‘F’ – which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The style is ‘Neath II’ - a traditional and robust five-eyelet, town-and-country derby tramper – a classic Cheaney design.
The shoes feature leather soles, calf leather uppers, veldtschoen construction, bellows tongues and full leather linings.
