JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE DERBY – BLACK – UK 7.5 – LYDD – VERY GOOD CONDITION
A fine pair of vintage Joseph Cheaney plain-front derby shoes in black calf leather. They are in very good used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there – mainly on the front vamp of the right shoe (see photos).
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney’s in nice condition then you are probably finding some of the best shoes around.
The style is ‘Lydd’ – an elegant and traditional two-eyelet derby.
The width fitting is ‘EE’ - which is a ‘standard’ width fitting – so, equivalent to a modern-day ‘F’ fitting.
The shoes feature calf leather uppers, full leather linings and leather soles.
