CHURCH’S VINTAGE DERBY – BROWN / BURGUNDY – UK 8 – STRATTON – SUPERB CONDITION
A super vintage pair of Custom Grade five-eyelet derby shoes in beautiful burgundy / oxblood calf leather from Church’s. This pair were made for, and retailed by, ‘Boutique Adani’. They are in superb used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). In fact these vintage shoes are very little worn at all – I would estimate on two or three occasions – ever !!
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The style is ‘Stratton’ – an elegant and traditional five-eyelet derby. This pair were built on the 224 Last - giving them beautiful derby lines; a perfect combination in my opinion.
The width fitting is ‘G’ - which is the ‘wider-than-standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature calf leather uppers, full leather linings, bellows tongues, leather soles, weather-resistant storm welts and all the hand-built quality one expects from Church’s – gorgeous.
Wonderful quality shoes from a traditional English shoemaker.
