JOSEPH CHEANEY BROGUES - WHITE - UK 8.5 – UNWORN CONDITION
A super (and very rare) pair of quarter-brogue oxford shoes in beautiful white calf leather from Joseph Cheaney. This pair were made for, and retailed by, Kent & Curwen, London. They are in superb condition and I have listed the shoes as used because they may have been tried on but they have certainly not been worn in any proper sense of the word – however, there is a very small mark of some kind on the vamp of the right shoe, just under the throat line (c 2.5 mm) (see photos). The shoes are in their original box. This is a very rare design to find - so, you will be very unlucky to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a nice feeling, I think.
The width fitting is ‘F’ – which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature leather soles, calf leather uppers and full leather linings.
