JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE BROGUES – BLACK – UK 8.5 – EXCELLENT CONDITION
A very fine, vintage pair of full-brogue five-eyelet oxford shoes in beautiful black high-shine calf leather from Joseph Cheaney – never out-of-place. They are in excellent used condition, overall – notwithstanding some creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos).
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The width fitting is ‘F’ – which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The style name is ‘Bag-It-Up’ – an elegant and well proportioned oxford.
The shoes feature leather soles, high-shine calf leather uppers, full leather linings and all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
