JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE DERBY – BROWN / TAN SUEDE - UK 8 – FRENSHAM - EXCELLENT CONDITION
A very fine (and very rare) pair of vintage, three-eyelet plain-front derby shoes in beautiful brown / tan suede leather from Joseph Cheaney – perfect for town and country wear. They are in excellent used condition overall - notwithstanding the odd surface mark here and there – (see photos). This pair feature a very lightweight rubber sole.
Please note - the uppers are in lovely condition in real life, but suede shoes are very difficult for an amateur to photograph properly - without them looking a bit scruffy - because of the light and the nap of the suede.
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney's in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around. PLUS – you will be very unfortunate to meet anyone wearing the same shoes as you !!
The style is ‘Frensham’ – beautifully proportioned.
The width fitting is ‘E’ – which is the ‘narrower-than-standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature lightweight rubber soles, suede leather uppers, lightweight leather / linen linings and super build-quality.
