CHURCH’S VINTAGE BROGUES – BROWN / TAN – ADEN – UK 9.5 – EXCELLENT CONDITION
A super (and very rare) pair of vintage full-brogue derby shoes in beautiful brown / tan calf leather from Church’s. They are in excellent used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). This is a very rare design to find and you will be very unlucky to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a nice feeling, I think.
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The style is ‘Aden’ – traditional elegance; a real classic and a ‘must have’ for any gentleman’s wardrobe. This pair were formed on the 38 Last.
The width fitting is ‘G’ - which is the ‘wider-than-standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature leather soles, calf leather uppers and full leather linings - plus all the hand-built quality that one expects from this top English shoemaker.
