CHURCH’S VINTAGE LAZYMAN LOAFERS – BLACK – UK 8.5 – COURIER - EXCELLENT CONDITION
A super (and very rare) pair of vintage ‘lazyman’ loafers in beautiful black calf leather from Church’s. Perfect for dressing-up or dressing-down. They are in excellent used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). This pair come complete with a contemporary Church’s shoe box, but it is not original to these particular shoes.
The ‘Courier’ design is not one that you will see very often at all – so, you will be most unlikely to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you - always a nice feeling, I think. Fabulous retro style !
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
Please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The style is ‘Courier’ – a beautifully proportioned loafer and a rare Church’s design. They were built on the 38 Last.
Width fitting is ‘G’ – which is the ‘wider-than-standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature calf leather uppers, leather soles, full leather linings and offer the usual Church’s vintage build quality.
