CHURCH’S VINTAGE LOAFERS – WHITE – UK 8 – SAVONA - WORN ONCE
A super (and extremely rare) pair of vintage apron-front loafers in soft white calf leather from Church’s. They are in superb used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there – but there is an area where the leather seems to have been ‘roughed up’ on the outer face of the rear quarters of the left shoe, just below the foot-hole (see photos). This is an extremely rare design to find and so you will be very unlikely to meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a nice feeling I think. The shoes are in their original box, complete with the original dust bags.
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The width fitting is ‘F’ – which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The style is ‘Savona’ – very elegant and featuring a distinctive apron front made from basketweave calf leather. This pair were built on the 33 Last.
The shoes feature calf leather uppers, leather soles, full leather linings and offer the usual Church’s build quality.
Relaxed, elegant style from one of England’s finest shoe makers.
