CHURCH’S VINTAGE OXFORD – BROWN - UK 10 – MENDELSSOHN - UNWORN CONDITION
A super (and very rare) vintage pair of Custom Grade cap-toe oxford shoes in beautiful brown calf leather from Church’s – never out-of-place. They are in superb condition and I have listed them as ‘used’ because they may have been tried-on, but I don’t actually think that they have been (see photos). This is a very rare design to find and you will be extremely unlucky to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a good feeling, I think.
In my opinion, although modern-day Church’s shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Church’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
The style is ‘Mendelssohn’ – beautifully proportioned and beautifully put together.
The width fitting is ‘F’ – which is the ‘standard’ width fitting. These shoes were built on the 84 Last.
The shoes feature leather soles, calf leather uppers, lightweight leather / linen linings and all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
