CROCKETT & JONES VINTAGE DERBY – BLACK – BOEING - UK 7.5 – EXCELLENT CONDITION
A very fine (and very rare) pair of vintage three-eyelet apron-front derby shoes in beautiful black calf leather from C&J. They are in excellent used condition, overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). The shoes are unlined for greater comfort in warmer conditions and feature beautifully crafted fringed edgings around the top of the footholes for additional comfort when worn – wonderful workmanship. This is a very rare design to see and you will be very unlucky to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a good feeling, I think.
The style is ‘Boeing’ – an elegant and beautifully proportioned three-eyelet derby with a lovely low side-profile. The shoes are remarkably lightweight and are really well-suited to wear in warmer conditions. They were built on C&J’s 250 Last.
The width fitting is ‘E’ - which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature calf leather uppers and close-channelled leather soles.
Wonderful quality shoes from a traditional English shoemaker.
