CROCKETT & JONES VINTAGE TASSEL LOAFERS – BROWN / TAN - UK 7.5 – HASTINGS – SUPERB CONDITION
A super (and very rare) pair of vintage tassel loafers in a combination of brown/tan calf leather and beige twill from Crockett & Jones – gorgeous. This pair were made for, and retailed by, ‘Alan McAfee’ of London. They are in superb used condition, overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). The patina on these shoes is super – only time and TLC will achieve it and it is developing very nicely on these vintage shoes. This design is very rare to find - so, you will be extremely unlikely to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a nice feeling, I think.
The width fitting is ‘EX’ – which is a ‘standard’ width fitting.
The style is ‘Hastings’ - beautifully proportioned and beautifully put together.
The shoes feature combination calf leather and twill uppers, full leather linings, leather soles and all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
