JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE MONK STRAP – BROWN - UK 8.5 – ANDY EXCELLENT CONDITION
A super (and rare) pair of vintage single monk-strap shoes in beautiful brown burnished calf leather from Joseph Cheaney – perfect for dressing-up or dressing-down. They are in excellent used condition, overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). This is a very rare design to find - so, you will be very unlucky to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a nice feeling, I think.
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The width fitting is ‘F’ – which is the ‘standard’ width fitting.
The style is ‘Andy’ – a very elegant design with a lovely slim toe line; the shoes have silver-coloured buckles.
The shoes feature leather soles, burnished calf leather uppers and full leather linings.
