JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE OXFORD – BLACK – UK 10 – HYNE - EXCELLENT CONDITION
A super (and very rare) vintage pair of five-eyelet plain-front oxford shoes in beautiful black calf leather from Joseph Cheaney. They are in excellent used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). This is a very rare design to find - so, you will be very unlucky to ever meet anyone else wearing the same shoes as you – always a nice feeling, I think.
In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.
But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!
The style is ‘Hyne’ – a very elegant plain-front oxford shoe – never out-of-place.
The width fitting is ‘F’ – which is a ‘standard’ width fitting.
The shoes feature leather soles, calf leather uppers, full leather linings and all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
